This building once stood on the block bounded by Pine, Sargeant, Beech, and Hampshire Streets. Built in 1868, it was designed by local architect George P.B. Alderman. It was also the former site of Holyoke Junior College. The high school was rebuilt at its present location after the original building burned down in 1968. It is the future site of the Senior Center |

Also built in 1868, this school stood at the intersection of Maple Street and Appleton Street. The original design of the building did not include the chimneys seen in this picture. The building was demolished in the early 1930s to make may for the present War Memorial Building. |

Elmwood school was constructed 1894, and survived until 1980. It was located on South Street, and also was a temporary location for the Holyoke Community College, from 1961 to 1968, before it moved to its current site on Homestead Avenue. |

Named after George C. Ewing, this building first stood on School Street in 1868. Olsen recontructed this drawing from several old photographs. The structure survived until the 1920s. |

The Precious Blood Church occupied this school for many years. It was built 1889 on Hamilton Street, between Park and South East Streets. The building was demolished in 1977. |

One of the smallest schools in Holyoke's history, both in size and attendence, the Ingleside School first stood off of Main Street in Ingleside in 1827. Olsen recreated this drawing from an old photograph from the Holyoke Transcript. It was demolished in 1910 and is now the site of a small public park. |

Kirtland school was built in 1900 and torn down in 1997. This building was the Ward 6 voter precinct for many years. It is the present site of a park and playground. |

This school was occupied by the Holy Rosary Parish until it was torn down in 1976. It was built in 1864 on Lyman Street and Ely Court. It is the present site of Rosary Park. |

In 1902 the Morgan School was built on South Bridge Street, between Sargeant Street and Adams Street. The city completed significant renovations and additions to the building in 1963. The school closed in 1978, was demolished in 1980, and now the new Morgan School stands in its place. |

Built in 1868 on Hamilton Street, between Park Street and South East Street, doctors and rescuers used the basement of this school as an emergency morgue during and following the Precious Blood Church fire in 1875. |

This lot is the present site of the Morgan School playground. The school was built in 1880 on Sargeant Street between South Bridge Street and South Summer Street. It was torn down in the 1940s. |

This school was built on West Street, between Samoset and Pequot Street. In 1943 the city completed renovation and additions, but the building was torn down when the Kelly Elementary was erected in its place. |

The Nonotuck was built in 1883 on Nonotuck and Hampden Streets. Demolished in 1956, it is presently the site of Senior housing in Holyoke. |

Built in 1902 on Lincoln Street between Nonotuck Street and Waldo Street, the school's new additions in the 1960s blocked the original façade at the time Olsen created the drawing. The school closed in 1990 and demolished in 1997. It is now the site of Kennedy Park. |
