The Holyoke Public Library offers a wide range of services and
programs to meet the needs of the residents in the community. Librarians are
available at the
Holyoke History Room, at the
Children's Reference Desk
and at the Information Desk to provide readers' advisory and
reference help.

If you wish to request a book be held for you, call Circulation Desk during regular
Library service hours. Circulating items will be held for one week and can
be picked up at the Circulation Desk in the lobby. You can also reserve
materials that are checked out. For

The reference librarians
provide assistance to the patron in retrieving information from book and
electronic sources. Questions requiring brief responses are answered by
librarians in the Library Reference Department during regular business
hours. Reference services are available in person at the Main Library

The
Holyoke History Room
contains the resources available to patrons visiting to utilize the
collection. In addition to the materials listed below there are a PAC terminal for searching the general collection and one for
Internet use related to History Room research. A copier and a scanner are
also available to visitors. The room also displays exhibits that are rotated
