The "Friends of the Holyoke Library, Inc." presents a way to help support a worthy cause by providing you with what will become treasured heirlooms!
This tapestry—woven using two layers, the background is natural, and another of contrasting multi-color is 48"x65" 100% pre-washed cotton machine washable. The tapestry showcases Holyoke's past and present and is on sale at the Holyoke Public Library. The afghan features 13 woven illustrations dealing with Holyoke—Holyoke Public Library, City Hall, Kenilworth Castle, Mt. Tom Summit House, Y.M.C.A. Birthplace of Volleyball, Railroad Station, Holyoke Dam, Canals - Industry, and the Soldier's Monument at Veteran's Park. In addition, it highlight Wisteriahurst, the Carousel at Holyoke Heritage State Park, St. Patrick's Parade and the Mt. Tom Ski area. A booklet is included with each tapestry purchase that gives the history behind each of the illustrations. The price is $52.45 ($49.95 plus $2.50 tax).
