Mission Statement

"The mission of the Friends of the Holyoke Public Library is to support quality library services in the community through fundraising, volunteerism, advocacy for library programs at local, state, and national levels, and close collaboration with the Board of Directors and the Library Director of the Holyoke Public Library regarding current and long-range projects."

Contact Us
To find out what's happening this year, email friendsofthehpl [at] gmail [dot] com, or visit our BLOG, or follow us on Facebook, or call the Friends Office 413-420-8110 and leave a message.
Note: we do not have any paid staff, only volunteers. We are not often in the Friends office (a small room in the library basement housing our files, supplies, as well as storage of books and merchandise that we will bring upstairs to sell in the lobby). We apologize that it may take a while to return your phone messages.  Email (friendsofthehpl [at] gmail [dot] com) is a better way to reach us.

Meetings of our Board are open to all. Meetings are usually planned for the 4th Monday of the month, 5:30-7pm, at the Library.  See the calendar on this library website for details of meetings and events held at the Library.
